I had previously visited the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum when my friend was living in Tucson a couple years ago in March. At that time a lot of the plants were blooming, this time around we were a couple weeks too early. We drove through Saguaro National Park en route to the museum. It’s quite the sight to see so many saguaros for almost as far as the eye can see.
We left Flagstaff in the morning and started a surprisingly snowy drive to Sedona. The town itself is a neat place…loads of crystals and people that are into vortexes.
Following the Antelope Canyon Tour we stopped off at Horseshoe Bend, located just outside of Page, Arizona, before heading towards Flagstaff. The Colorado River cuts a dramatic (horseshoe shaped) meander just off Highway 89. A short 15 minute walk from the parking lot takes you to the lookout point.
After Zion National Park, we headed towards Page, Arizona to see Antelope Canyon, located on Navajo lands.
