Spring in Vancouver

We had the joy of some late April snow last week in Calgary, so when I headed out to Vancouver mid-week it was nice to see pink and green covering the trees as I landed. I had just missed the Cherry Blossom Festival but there were still plenty of cherry blossoms and other blooms around town.

It was a short walk from the skytrain station to Queen Elizabeth Park. There are some great views of the city from the park and many paths that take you through the gardens.

I didn’t get to make it out to the Abbotsford Tulip festival being held that weekend, but there were loads in bloom at Queen Elizabeth Park.
